Trip Description

The Mountains

Le Massif – elevation 2645’, vertical drop 2526’

Mont Ste Anne – elevation 2625’, vertical drop 2050'

Le Massif : Hold your breath when skiing at Le Massif! With a vertical drop of 770 metres (2526 ft) and runs overlooking the St. Lawrence River, Le Massif is the most spectacular ski resort east of the Rockies. It has the highest vertical in Eastern Canada. Apart from a big vertical drop and lots of snow, Le Massif de Charlevoix’s main claim to fame is that the area is accessible both from the top and from the base. No matter what your level, you will enjoy the scenic views at the top and ski right down to the banks of the St. Lawrence river.

Le Sentier des Caps de Charlevoix’s cross-country and snowshoe trails located at the top of the Massif de Charlevoix, at an altitude of 800 meters, offers 27km of trails which meander through boreal and ancient forests with spectacular riverside and mountain views. A great way to enjoy the region’s gorgeous natural beauty.

Mont Ste Anne : Mont-Sainte-Anne is renowned for its impeccable snow conditions, grooming and expert area. The skiable terrain includes 71 trails covering 73 kilometres spread across 3 sides of the mountain. Mont-Sainte-Anne has one of the largest snowmaking systems in the East. Lifts include 1 high speed gondola, 4 quad chairlifts (1 is high speed, 1 has bubble covers) and 4 surface lifts. Terrain is  21% Beginner,   46% Intermediate,   20% Advanced and  13% Expert!

Mont-Ste-Anne Cross-country Ski Center offers the largest cross country area in Canada. It is nestled in the beautiful scenery of the Laurentian forest and features 200 km of trails, including a 191 km network for skate skiing. Over 30 km of snowshoeing trails with varying degrees of difficulty including loops and trails are reachable from the base of Mont-Sainte-Anne. It is located only 7 km from the downhill area, where skiers have direct access to the cross-country network.

If you’re looking for something other than downhill or cross country skiing, consider snowshoeing – the area boasts 37 kms of snowshoeing trails accessible at the ski resort! Dog sledding is also available for an additional charge.

Resort Accommodation

Hotel Manoir Victoria built in 1830  is located in the heart of Québec city. The Hotel offers friendly service and contemporary elegance. Renovated in 2016! Upscale furniture, pool, etc.

Upscale new bistro with well-renowned chef Jean-Luc Boulay and his new accomplice, Arnaud Marchand offers  a nordic-inspired cuisine that features regional products. It is a healthy and tasty cuisine where sous-vide cooking and cocotte-style presentation are in the spotlight. Arnaud Marchand was one of the 2 finalists in the 2010 season of Les Chefs TV series during which Chef Jean Luc Boulay, acting as a judge, was able to see and appreciate his potential. We offer an optional dinner for New Year's evening in the hotel to try inspiring creations of Les Chefs before going to the outdoor party in the streets of Quebéc City on Grande Allée - the best New Year’s party in Canada! Try one of the hottest nearby nightclubs, such as Dagobert & Maurice. There will be dancing in the streets and in the night clubs! Cold? When we are dancing together, we melt the snow and ice!
