  • Trip Description:

This is a 3 day skiing and snowboarding trip in Quebec’s beautiful Eastern Townships, the first day at Sutton, and the next two days at Orford.  Sutton is known for the “Best Glade Skiing in the East” and has a reputation for great snow. Mont Orford, with 3 peaks and its hybrid 6-pack/gondola lift makes for a great ski experience. Two controllable elements make this trip fun: we are in a brand new, beautifully appointed hotel that is a 300m walk and slide to the south chairlift, and an excellent après ski is located in the hotel. HPSC’s certified CSIA instructors to guide us around the mountain each day. Breakfasts and dinners and all transportation costs are included in the overall price.

Resort Accommodation:

This trip to the Townships was extremely well received by HPSC members last year. We can hope for a repeat of the 10 days of snow that fell prior to last year’s trip and fresh snow during the trip, nevertheless, Sutton is known for its stupendous glade skiing and Orford boasts extensive pistes on 3 peaks. For après-ski the hotel offers a beautiful, slope facing bistro bar with an outdoor heater- assisted patio to watch the sun disappear behind Mt. Orford.  Santé!  There is a large 2 storey centrally located lounge with fireplace for members to gather and share stories of their day! We have arranged for double occupancy suites with balconies, fireplaces, cooking facilities, washer and dryer and free wi-fi. A queen/king bed is in one bedroom with door and the other is a pull out queen bed with a very comfortable high density foam mattress in the living room. Each bed has its own TV and the fireplace is 2 sided. A full gym facility and outdoor, partially roofed lounge on the 3rd floor is available for our use.

Dining:

A full, hot/cold breakfast buffet will be offered. For dinner, we have arranged for a private dining area for our group; a gourmet buffet dinner will be accompanied by a complimentary glass of wine. The bar will be open to accommodate us on our arrival.

Espace 4 Saisons is happy to host us in their first full season in their new hotel and is looking for our repeat business!

Departure:

  • On Thursday February 1, 2018 from Yonge & York Mills, Toronto at 2:00pm and 2:30pm from Scarborough.
  •  From Orford at 4:00pm on Sunday February 4, 2018.

Transportation:

  • Transportation to Orford, Magog and home will be by HPSC luxury coach.

Optional Travel Insurance:

For overnight bus trips, members are responsible for arranging their own trip cancellation insurance and medical insurance. Insurance can be purchased from a number of Toronto sources. Some credit cards also provide coverage but check carefully to see what coverage your Card actually provides. All insurance claims must be made by the member to their own insurance company.
