High Park Ski Club

Leave the crowds behind and discover the beauty of Ontario’s trails. Only with the High Park Ski Club can you go cross-country skiing or snowshoeing every Saturday and Sunday in the winter.

Cross-Country ski & Showshoe Day Trips

Please be advised that there will be no HPSC day trips while Toronto is in the GREY or RED zone. Given the provincial lockdown in force in Southern Ontario until January 23rd, we will be unable to run trips until after that time at the earliest. Be prepared that the lockdown or red zone restrictions will likely extend beyond that date.

Also note that it is not possible to rent skis or get lessons while the lockdown is in effect. None of the resorts are offering rentals or lessons. There are no retailers in the city that rent skis during the pandemic.

If we are able to run trips, the experience will certainly be different this year. Please check out our blog for information on: how to register, drive ups, the bus experience, the resort experience, and lessons. Please get informed about our policies and procedures before registering for a day trip.

The provisional schedule is subject to change.

Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing is an amazing way to explore the Ontario landscape (and beyond) in winter! Ski or hike through snow covered forests, on the Canadian Shield, by frozen lakes, or to flowing waterfalls. Do all this while making new friends. High Park Ski Club offers more cross-country/snowshoe day trips than any other ski club in the GTA.

First time on cross-country skis? Our qualified instructors will have you flying down the trails in no time. Click here for more information on our ski school and lessons.

First time on snowshoes? Our experienced tour leaders will ensure you have a fantastic day on the trails.Guided snowshoe trips are indicated on the schedule when it becomes available.

We offer special programs and events throughout the season, including fun races (with prizes!), backcountry touring, a dinner trip, potlucks on the bus, and post-ski wine and cheese celebrations. These events have been suspended for 2020-2021.

Our day trips are great value. Day trip costs include transportation to the resort (cost comparable to gas, and you don't have to drive!), group discounts on trail passes, and free lessons, including opportunities for advanced lessons not available at resorts.

“I grew up in a country with a subtropical climate and after moving to Canada, I found it hard to enjoy winter…until I joined HPSC! My instructors are very patient, and my fellow skiers very friendly! Cold is no longer an issue, and now I always hope winter never ends thanks to HPSC!" Yiuyin Chang
