High Park Ski Club

Leave the crowds behind and discover the beauty of Ontario’s trails. Only with the High Park Ski Club can you go cross-country skiing or snowshoeing every Saturday and Sunday in the winter.

Cross-Country ski & Showshoe Day Trips

We plan to offer cross-country ski and snowshoe trips on Saturdays and Sundays, offering lessons on most trips as well as guided snowshoeing on a number of trips. You can find the provisional schedule here. It is subject to change.

All members will be required to show proof of full vaccination (two shots) before participating in any club events, including day trips. If you wish to ski with us this fall, please get vaccinated asap!

While we hope to run as close to normal a ski season as possible, please note that the situation, like last year, changes rapidly. Our operations depend on public health guidelines regarding distancing. It will be some time before we know what the guidelines will be and how the resorts are going to operate under them. Please know we are trying our very best to get the season off the ground while keeping the health and safety of our members - and our communities - as our first priority.

Heather Steel, Director, Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing is an amazing way to explore the Ontario landscape (and beyond) in winter! Ski or hike through snow covered forests, on the Canadian Shield, by frozen lakes, or to flowing waterfalls. Do all this while making new friends. High Park Ski Club offers more cross-country/snowshoe day trips than any other ski club in the GTA.

First time on cross-country skis? Our qualified instructors will have you flying down the trails in no time. Click here for more information on our ski school and lessons.

First time on snowshoes? Our experienced tour leaders will ensure you have a fantastic day on the trails.Guided snowshoe trips are indicated on the schedule when it becomes available.

We offer special programs and events throughout the season, including fun races (with prizes!), backcountry touring, a dinner trip, potlucks on the bus, and post-ski wine and cheese celebrations. These events have been suspended for 2020-2021.

Our day trips are great value. Day trip costs include transportation to the resort (cost comparable to gas, and you don't have to drive!), group discounts on trail passes, and free lessons, including opportunities for advanced lessons not available at resorts.

“I grew up in a country with a subtropical climate and after moving to Canada, I found it hard to enjoy winter…until I joined HPSC! My instructors are very patient, and my fellow skiers very friendly! Cold is no longer an issue, and now I always hope winter never ends thanks to HPSC!" Yiuyin Chang
