A great value! This is a 5-day skiing and snowboarding trip with 3 days at Stowe resort (M,W,F) and 2 days at Sugarbush resort (T, Th). Snowshoeing and X-country skiing is also available nearby for an additional charge. Daily skiing lessons, breakfasts and dinners and all transportation included in overall price.
This will be our 4th year at Commodores Inn and we had a great time at the Inn in past years. It is a conveniently located, authentic Vermont ski lodge, not a 4-star hotel, and it has all the amenities. Facilities include restaurant, Sports Lounge, bar, indoor pool, 3 large Jacuzzis, 2 saunas, games room with pool table, table tennis and free Wi-Fi. Walk 1.4km to the quaint downtown area with stores offering hand made chocolates, stunning one-of-a-kind jewellery and other New England specialties.
The always burning fireplace in the Main lounge is a convenient meeting area for freshly baked goods, snacks, refreshments and socializing before and after dinner. The Sports Lounge bar is open afternoons and evenings. There is a deli/grocery store next door which sells wine and beer if you want to sample something local and a ski/sports store that often has ski equipment and clothing “on sale” as the season wanes. For sailors, the owner Bruce Nourjian, is always willing to talk about model boat sailing and his adventures on the high seas.
The resident chef sources his ingredients locally and prepares all foods fresh for the day. He likes to be available for feedback on his daily creations. Some desserts are sourced locally. Food quality and quantity has been consistently high. The service is cheerfully excellent.
