HPSC Summer Outing - DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS JULY 6
Visit both the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Darwin Martin House and Graycliff in one day!
One family. One architect. Two houses.
Designed by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the Martin House is an extraordinary house museum and National Historic Landmark in Buffalo, NY. Nestled in the city’s historic Parkside neighborhood, the site ranks as one of Wright’s finest residential projects – a place where architecture, the surrounding landscape, and an extensive collection of art glass and furnishings come together to form a complete work of genius.
Darwin Martin and his wife Isabelle called on Wright two decades after the construction of the Martin House to build the family’s summer home, Graycliff, located a short drive from the Martin House on the shores of Lake Erie.
As a group we will be given the extended tour of both estates.
As part of the day trip, a boxed lunch from the Statler Café at the Martin House is included.
We will also be stopping in a historical part of Buffalo for dinner (personal expense) before returning home.
