Cross-country, Kolapore guided back-country skiing (if conditions permit), and snowshoeing trip. Classic & Skate L1-2 and a Ski Smarter Classic clinic (trail handling) will be offered. Guided snowshoeing will be offered.
Registration opens February 12th at 9 pm.
Note: Given the lack of snow at the time we opened registration, we have taken the Kolapore trail pass option out of the module. If more snow arrives, we can offer it (we would refund your trail passes). Please still indicate if you would be interested. Please note that Kolapore is NOT for beginners and you must own your own equipment.
Ski conditions at Highlands should be great!
Highlands has a wonderful cafeteria offering hot soup, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, and home-made snacks (you may prefer to bring your own food). They also have one of the better pro shops. Highlands offers terrific rental packages (classic skis, skate skis and snowshoes).
To get the latest trail conditions, click here.
Kolapore is a back country skiing area, meaning the trails are not groomed. You will not have any indoor access or the bus (the bus will be at Highlands), so you must have a pack and be comfortable outside all day. You must have your own equipment. We don't recommend Kolapore for beginners.
Drop off will start at Hwy 400/7 and then will go straight to Keele station (and then to Davenport and up Yonge). You may want to get off at Keele station and take the subway from there
To understand our lesson levels, please see here for an explanation so that you can choose the right one. There is also more information on lessons in general in the FAQs.
You can cancel your registration up until 8 PM the Tuesday before the trip (for this trip: Tues., February 20, 2024). You must email cancellations@hpsc.ca for the cancellation to be processed. For more information on how to cancel, visit the Cross-Country FAQ page.
